.) Broken decks required (5 pieces total per deckstool). See graphics below for minimum size required. Broken decks that exceed these sizes are acceptable.

.) What Style of Deck? The standard elongated oval with concave style is preferred, but if you have a different shape you would like to use, please let us know. If it meets the size requirements we can most likely make it work.

.) NOT ENOUGH BROKEN DECKS!?!?! Try asking your local skateshop or skatepark if they have any lying around, or if they can collect a few for you instead of throwing them out. In my experience, most shops have a few on hand or know where to get them.

.) Quality requirements of decks provided. We will do our best to work with all decks provided by our customers, but please realize the quality of the finished product is directly related to the quality of the raw material. Understandably, broken skateboard decks are going to have a considerable amount of wear and tear, and we can deal with most of it. We need decks of the minimum full lengths as shown above to make quality stools. Within the minimum dimension, there should be no major cracks or structural damage to the plywood and also there should be no holes or large chunks of material missing from the required minimum area. If any of the decks provided by a customer do not meet our minimum requirements for broken decks, we reserve the right to require a replacement deck be provided by the customer or purchased from us for a fee.

.) Additional charges for repair work. If you are emotionally attached to a severely damaged deck, such as one that is structurally compromised or cracked within the minimum required dimension, or one that has large chunks of wood missing, and you still want to use it for your stool, we can do special repair work to salvage these decks for an added material/labor charge.

.) Do you have preference on where you want certain decks? If you would like a particular deck used for a certain part of the stool, please scotch tape a small label (like a post-it note) to the deck indicating how you would like the deck used. Just write "outside" if you want it on the outside of the leg, or "inside" for inside leg, or "seat" for the seat (if necessary, the size may give it away.) It is not necessary to label all or any of the decks you send. If a location is not specified for a deck our craftsman will skillfully decide where to use it themselves.

.) Package Your Decks Carefully for Shipping. Please take extreme care in packaging broken skateboards to be shipped to our factory for recycling. All decks with sharp edges, splinters, etc. must be securely wrapped in heavy packing material and/or shipped within a cardboard box or equivalent. Please do not use heavy duty tape (such as packing tape or duct tape) directly on decks. Many tapes leave glue on the decks and it makes our job more difficult.

.) Shipping your decks. Please do not ship us anything until you have thoroughly read the above requirements and until you order for a Custom deckstool has been confirmed by deckstool.com

Broken Decks may be shipped using the USPS or any major delivery service. The customer is responsible for ALL shipping costs, to and from deckstool.com.
