I received a blue tarp full of disaster debris collected by Team Rubicon and a case of Mountaindew. We stirred them up and sent them through the deckstool factory. The resulting custom skateboards were awarded in a fundraiser/contest benefiting Team Rubicon.
Recycled skateboard tiles now greet visitors at two different terminals at Philadelphia International Airport.

Read MoreSuper stoked to see our Deckstools in Philadelphia's newest and tallest skyscraper, the Comcast Technology Center. Dubbed as the first “vertical corporate campus”, I think some recycled skateboard furniture is only appropriate. The new Comcast campus actually showcases a vast array of local designers and artists, who contributed custom furniture, architectural elements, sculptures and 2-d artworks.
A special thank you to Vick Art Advisors and Gensler Design for making the project happen and thank you the Campus Experience Team at the Comcast Technology Center for being awesome and incredibly supportive to all the artists and designers featured in this project. Photo is courtesy of @choifoto.
We did it again. We were super excited to be called upon once again to create the trophies for Exposure 2018. Deckstool is proud to be the Official Trophy Sponsor of Exposure Skateboarding for the past 3 years.

Read MoreBroken skateboards are an unfortunate side effect of skateboarding and are usually destined for the landfill. We recycle this waste into unique, high quality furniture, recycled skateboard wall tiles and other cool products. Our designs are inspired by skateboarding and they are engineered based upon how skateboards break during use. The scrapes, scars, and graffiti on the used decks create beautiful patterns over the original skateboard artwork. All of our products are built and finished by skater/craftsman in the USA.
The goal of deckstool is to support skateboarding and skate-related causes through our recycling program, and continue to turn tons of trashed skatedecks into beautiful, useful products that last!
Our recycling program collects broken boards from independent skateshops and parks in the US and Canada. By recycling broken boards with us, these small skateboard businesses can raise extra money for their shop or to fund local skatepark projects.
